All eight UEFA Champions League round of 16 ties have a leader following the first legs played this week and last.

All the round of 16 first legs
Porto 0-2 Juventus
Sevilla 2-1 Leicester
Leverkusen 2-4 Atlético
Manchester City 5-3 Monaco
Bayern 5-1 Arsenal
Real Madrid 3-1 Napoli
Paris 4-0 Barcelona
Benfica 1-0 Dortmund

Bayern and Paris are the best-placed teams of all, given a four-goal deficit has never been overturned in a UEFA Champions League knockout tie. Only Sevilla and Benfica have one-goal advantages to protect, meanwhile, leaving Leicester and Dortmund respectively with most hope of a second-leg comeback in three weeks' time.

The first legs produced a record 34 goals, smashing the previous best of 26 (set in 2013/14) for eight round of 16 openers. This tally is also the joint-highest for a single UEFA Champions League knockout instalment, matching the total from the 2011/12 round of 16 second legs.

Most goals in round of 16 first legs
2016/17: 34 goals
2013/14: 26 goals
2011/12: 22 goals
2005/06: 21 goals
2012/13: 21 goals
2015/16: 21 goals
