Injury list
The 24-year-old has added to a worryingly long injury list at the Weserstadion, joining Gustavo Nery, Ümit Davala, Daniel Jensen, Frank Fahrenhorst and Krisztian Lisztes on the sidelines. Borowski, who sustained the injury during the 2-1 defeat by 1. FSV Mainz 05, said: "When I wanted to shoot, my standing foot was caught. I'm surprised that I was able to carry on."
No surgery
Thomas Schaaf will be without the German international for around a fortnight as the player attempts to recover without surgery. "Boro's absence is another blow for us, but moaning doesn't help us," said the coach, who will hope Borowski is fit for the 2 November return against Anderlecht.
