The all-star Ultimate Champions Match and the launch of UEFA's Together #WePlayStrong drive to bring women and girls into football are among the highlights of the UEFA Champions Festival in Cardiff Bay.

The UEFA Champions Festival in Cardiff Bay is the place to be for free entertainment in the days surrounding the UEFA Champions League final, with thousands of visitors expected during the four days that its doors are open.

The UEFA Champions Festival opening ceremony will take place at 10:00 local time on Thursday 1 June when final ambassador Ian Rush brings the UEFA Champions League trophy to the floating pitch in Cardiff Bay which will stage the festival's big footballing showcases. The trophy willl then move to the festival's main square for photo and selfie opportunities. 

UEFA's 'Together #WePlayStrong' campaign, which is encouraging women and girls to get into football, will be launched on the floating pitch on Thursday at 13:00.

Other highlights include the UEFA Ultimate Champions Match on Friday 2 June, featuring a variety of past UEFA Champions League stars, while the main stage will feature a host of artists and DJs every day. The UEFA Champions Gallery, at the Wales Millennium Centre, will celebrate the tournament, and the great work being done across Wales by clubs, schools and communities.
