Rothen luck for PSG

Paris Saint-Germain FC winger Jérôme Rothen will be sidelined for two months with a fractured ankle.

Fears confirmed
The 26-year-old left-sided player sustained the injury in PSG's 2-0 UEFA Champions League win against holders FC Porto on Wednesday, hobbling off three minutes into the second half at the Parc des Princes. Medical checks showed the damage was more serious than anticipated, meaning Rothen will sit out the remaining three games in Group H.

Second setback
The fracture is a fresh setback for Rothen, who joined PSG in a €10m transfer from AS Monaco FC in June but has been plagued by injuries since. He was forced into a three-week lay-off after suffering a groin injury in the Champions League loss to Chelsea FC on 14 September.
