Mista seals five-year deal

Valencia CF striker Mista has pledged his future to the Spanish champions until 2010.
Valencia CF striker Mista has signed a new five-year contract extension with the club.

Agreement reached
Both player and club have been in negotiations for several months but an agreement has finally been reached which will keep Mista at the Mestalla until June 2010. The 25-year-old was Valencia's top scorer last season with 19 goals, and would have been free to quit the club next June.

Public support
Mista said: "I hope the reaction from the fans will be the same as always. I have never had any complaints about them and I hope they will continue to lend me the same support as they have until now."
