Roma withdraw De Rossi appeal

AS Roma have withdrawn their appeal against the three-match ban imposed on Daniele De Rossi by UEFA.

AS Roma and Daniele De Rossi have withdrawn their appeal against the three-match ban imposed on the midfield player by UEFA.

Violent conduct
De Rossi was dismissed for violent conduct in the Italian club's UEFA Champions League match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on 19 October. De Rossi was sent off after he kicked out at Leverkusen's Jacek Krzynówek, and the three-match suspension now stands after the withdrawal of the appeal.

Video evidence
De Rossi was due to be suspended for one game after being shown the red card in the 87th minute of the Group B encounter in Germany. However, the ban was extended to three matches by UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body after reviewing video evidence.
