Rodriguez ruled out for Monaco

Julien Rodriguez will miss AS Monaco FC's fixture with Liverpool FC while Lucas Bernardi is a doubt.

AS Monaco FC captain Julien Rodriguez will miss their crucial UEFA Champions League fixture with Liverpool FC after suffering an ankle injury, while Lucas Bernardi is a doubt

Surgery question
The 26-year-old full-back has suffered cartilage inflammation, and will undergo further tests on Monday. The club said: "He will consult a specialist to find out if surgery is needed."

Bernardi doubt
Rodriguez missed Friday's 3-1 defeat by FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, in which Bernardi was taken off with a hamstring injury. Scans will reveal on Sunday if the midfield anchorman can play against Liverpool, a game in which defeat could end Monaco's hopes of progressing in the competition from Group A.
