Depor dealt Tristán setback

Diego Tristán will miss RC Deportivo La Coruña's remaining group games after tearing a thigh muscle.

RC Deportivo La Coruña striker Diego Tristán will miss the remaining two group stage matches of the UEFA Champions League after tearing his thigh in Saturday's victory against Villarreal CF.

Crucial matches
Tristán scored his third goal of the season in the 2-0 win but limped off the field early in the second half. Examinations have revealed a small muscle tear and the 28-year-old will be out for at least three weeks, therefore missing Depor's crucial Champions League matches against Olympiacos CFP and AS Monaco FC as the group stage draws to a close next month.

Pandiani doubt
Javier Irureta's side have a tough task to qualify after picking up just two points from their first four games especially as Walter Pandiani is also struggling with a back problem. Joan Capdevila will miss the trip to Greece on Tuesday with an identical injury to Tristán, but is expected to recover for Matchday 6.
