The 20-year-old, who left his native Uruguay for Greece aged 16 in a move from Danubio FC, said: "I am very happy because I am staying at home. Money is of no importance to me, as other teams were offering more. The team wanted to keep me and I wanted to stay. I promise to give 110 per cent on the pitch."
Liverpool trip
Castillo has appeared twice as substitute in Olympiacos's UEFA Champions League Group A campaign this season, and a draw at Liverpool FC on 8 December would ensure a place in the first knockout round.
