Inter match put back a week

A clash with AC Milan means FC Internazionale Milano will play the second leg of their first next tie on 15 March.
FC Internazionale Milano will play the return leg of their UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie on 15 March 2005.

Home advantage
The game was initially scheduled for 8/9 March but has been postponed because Inter and AC Milan, who share the San Siro stadium, both finished top of their respective groups to earn home advantage in the return leg in the round of 16. However, UEFA rules do not allow two games to be played in the same stadium on consecutive days.

Group victors
The Nerazzurri won Group G ahead of Werder Bremen, Valencia CF and RSC Anderlecht, while their city rivals Milan topped Group F ahead of FC Barcelona, FC Shakhtar Donetsk and Celtic FC. The draw for the first knockout round will take place on 17 December at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, with the first-leg matches to be staged on 22/23 February.
