Borowski boost for Bremen

German champions Werder Bremen have agreed a new contract with midfield player Tim Borowski until 2008.
Bundesliga champions Werder Bremen have agreed a new contract with midfield player Tim Borowski, tying him to the club until the summer of 2008.

Show of faith
The German international's current deal was due to expire at the end of the season, but Borowski has decided to commit himself to the Bremen cause by signing a three-year extension.

First-team regular
The 24-year-old, a product of Bremen's youth system, has finally laid claim to a regular starting place this season, making 14 Bundesliga and four UEFA Champions League appearances.
