Juanfran agrees Madrid extension

Real Madrid CF have awarded promising midfielder Juanfran a one-year contract extension until June 2008.
Real Madrid CF have awarded promising midfield player Juanfran a one-year contract extension to keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2008.

Reserve regular
The 20-year-old, who began his career with Kelme CF, is a regular in Madrid's reserves and has made six first-team appearances in the Primera División, including his debut in a 2-1 win against Villarreal CF almost a year ago.

Figo understudy
The pacy right winger is seen as Luís Figo's natural understudy and has excelled for Spain's junior sides. Having progressed through the various age groups, Juanfran was a member of the team that won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Switzerland last July.
