AC Siena have signed Croatian international defender Igor Tudor on loan from Juventus FC until the end of the season. Due to a series of injuries to his right thigh muscle, the 26-year-old has only played twice in Serie A and once in the UEFA Champions League this season.
Contract until 2007
Tudor, who joined Juventus in 1998 from HNK Hajduk Split for €3.7m and has a contract with the club until 2007, is the third defender to leave the Stadio Delle Alpi in the January transfer window after Mark Iuliano and Nicola Legrottaglie, who joined Spanish side RCD Mallorca and Bologna FC respectively.
International experience
Tudor, who has won 41 caps for his country and appeared against France and England at UEFA EURO 2004™, has played 110 games in Serie A with the Bianconeri and scored 15 goals. Siena, meanwhile, are currently second from bottom of Serie A with 18 points after 20 games.
