The 23-year-old, who is known as Robert, passed a medical on Friday morning and penned a three-and-a-half year contract, with an option for a further season. He joins for an undisclosed fee from Mexican side Club Atlas, where he was recently voted the Mexican top flight's Player of the Year.
Fourth Brazilian
Robert, who scored 17 goals in 23 games for Atlas this season, was born in Salvador and his arrival swells PSV's Brazilian contingent to four, joining Alex, Heurelho Gomes and Leandro. A youth international who played 12 times for his country's Under-20 side and appeared for the Olympic team on five occasions, he represented Coritiba FBC and AD São Caetano in addition to a brief spell with Russia's FC Spartak Moskva in 2003.
