Lizarazu injury scare

Bixente Lizarazu suffered a torn right thigh muscle playing in a friendly on Saturday.

Bixente Lizarazu today suffered a torn right thigh muscle in FC Bayern München's pre-season friendly at Karlsruher SC.

Thigh injury
In a match to raise funds for financially hard-hit Karlsruhe, French international left-back Lizarazu had to come off in the 13th minute and was later told that he would be out of action for two weeks. Bayern will be hoping that Lizarazu's injury is not more serious and that the player will be fit in time for their UEFA Champions League, third qualifying round tie on 15 and 29 August.
