Strained ligaments
The Uruguayan international underwent a scan today which confirmed a minor break and strained ligaments. Having played three times in the Nerazzurri's UEFA Champions League campaign, Recoba will sit out next Tuesday's Round of 16 return leg against FC Porto and the quarter-finals, should Inter qualify.

Forward line
The 28-year-old did not feature in the 1-1 first-leg draw at the Estádio do Dragão, and coach Roberto Mancini is likely to stick with Adriano and Obafemi Martins for the fixture against the European champions at the San Siro.
