Villarreal sign Ecuador's Valencia

Villarreal CF have agreed a €1.8m deal to sign the Ecuadorean international midfielder Luis Antonio Valencia.
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement to bring Ecuadorean international midfielder Luis Antonio Valencia to the Madrigal for the next five seasons.

Medical pending
The Primera División side, who will enter the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round as Spain's third-placed team, are reported to have agreed a €1.8m fee for the El Nacional winger, pending a medical on 20 June. The 19-year-old Valencia was in the Ecuador side that defeated Argentina 1-0 in a FIFA World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
