One-year deal
Ramos has agreed a one-year contract with the Andalusian club, with the option of a 12-month extension. He will be assisted by Sevilla's current backroom staff of Antonio Álvarez, Ramón Orellana and Paco Leal.
Betis connection
The 50-year-old arrives at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium as a former coach of city rivals Real Betis Balompié. His CV also includes stints in charge of Levante UD, Rayo Vallecano, RCD Espanyol and, until last summer, Málaga CF, among other posts. Sevilla finished sixth in Spain in 2004/05 to qualify for the UEFA Cup.
