Spartak sign Scarlett

FC Spartak Moskva have signed Jamaican Robert Scarlett and Nigerian Samuel Ogunsania.

FC Spartak Moskva's UEFA Champions League hopes have been boosted with the signings of Jamaican international midfield player Robert Scarlett and Nigerian defender Samuel Ogunsania.

Six-month contract
Scarlett has joined from Harbour View Kingston FC in Jamaica on a six-month contract with a three-year extension option. The 23-year-old left-sided player can operate in defence or midfield. Centre-back Ogunsania, who has clinched a three-year-deal, will join countrymate Essien Flo at Spartak.

Ananko on trial
The duo are intended to replace Ukrainian left-sided midfield player Eduard Tsykhmeistruk, who has been transfer-listed, and centre-back Dmitri Ananko, who is on trial with an unnamed club in France. Spartak also expect to complete the signing of Brazilian midfield player Androsinho in the next few days.

Romantsev set to be discharged
Meanwhile, head coach Oleg Romantsev, who has spent several days in the hospital with a kidney problem, is due to be discharged today.
