'I will do my best'
Pappas joins for the next two seasons with the possibility of then extending his contract until 2010. The 22-year-old said: "I know it will be tough for me to stand out in such a great team, but I will do my best to establish myself here."
Loan possibility
Olympiacos may also send a couple of players on loan to Kalamarias as part of the deal for the former Greek Under-21 international. Pappas, who started out with Panserraikos FC, made 26 league appearances in 2004/05, scoring six goals.
Second arrival
He becomes Olympiacos's second summer signing following the arrival on a four-year contract of Kallithea FC right-back Anastasios Kyriakos. The 26-year-old has cost the Piraeus club an undisclosed fee.
