Udinese sign Atalanta quartet

Udinese Calcio have signed four players from Atalanta BC ahead of their first UEFA Champions League campaign.

Motta move
Striker Fausto Rossini and Italian Under-21 international Marco Motta have joined along with youngsters Massimo Gotti and Piermario Morosini. Udinese pair Thomas Manfredini and Antonino D'Agostino have made the opposite journey as part of the deal.

Rossini shines
Rossini, 27, played 32 games on loan at UC Sampdoria last season, scoring twice. In total he has registered 16 goals in six Serie A seasons. Motta, 19, a right-sided midfielder, is considered one of Italy's brightest prospects. He made 19 appearances for Atalanta in his debut top-flight campaign last term. Gotti and Morosini are yet to feature at senior level and will likely start in Udinese's youth system.

European hopefuls
Udinese finished fourth in Serie A and hope to reach the Champions League for the first time. They will enter the competition in the third qualifying round.
