Viola trio return to Juventus

Giorgio Chiellini, Enzo Maresca and Fabrizio Miccoli are back with Juventus FC after a season at ACF Fiorentina.

Chiellini fee
In the case of Chiellini, Juventus used their option to sign the Italian international for €4.3m. The 20-year-old left-back played 37 times for Fiorentina last season, scoring three goals. He made his Azzurri debut in a friendly against Finland last November and has won five caps to date.

Permanent deals for duo
Meanwhile, after the clubs failed to reach agreement over the futures of Maresca and Miccoli, the pair returned to Juventus because the Turin team made a bigger offer to sign them permanently.

Season in Florence
Miccoli, who turned 26 on Monday, scored 12 goals in 35 games with the Viola during the 2004/05 campaign. The previous season the Italian international had registered eight times for Juventus. Maresca, 25, played 25 matches for Fiorentina.

Jørgensen stays put
Meanwhile, in the auction system that operates between clubs when deciding the destination of a player they jointly own, Fiorentina offered more money than UEFA Champions League contenders Udinese Calcio to complete the acquisition of Danish international winger Martin Jørgensen. The 29-year-old, who left Udine for Tuscany last summer, will continue to play at the Franchi stadium.
