UEFA Champions League hopefuls Udinese Calcio have signed defender Cesare Natali from relegated Atalanta BC.
The Friuli stadium side have paid a reported €2m for the 26-year-old, who has put pen to paper on a five-year contract. Udinese finished fourth in Italy and will start their Champions League campaign in the third qualifying round.
Natali has made 99 Serie A appearances with Atalanta and Bologna FC. He is the fifth Atalanta player to join Udinese this summer, with striker Fausto Rossini, Italian Under-21 international Marco Motta and youngsters Massimo Gotti and Piermario Morosini having already jumped ship.
