'Exemplary player'
No fee has been reported for the deal, which sees the 31-year-old Greek international return home after one season in Ligue 1. The ex-AEK Athens FC defender had a year remaining on his Bordeaux contract, but the French club's president Jean-Louis Triaud said: "He's an exemplary player and man, but we would not have extended his deal here considering his age. We released him because we understood his reasons."
Two-year deal
Kapsis, the son of legendary Panathinaikos FC defender Anthimos Kapsis and a member of Greece's UEFA EURO 2004™-winning squad, has agreed a two-year deal. "I am not a man of many words," he said. "I will speak on the field. But I could not turn down an offer from Olympiacos."
