Bad break for Blaszczykowski

Wisla Kraków's young winger Jakub Blaszczykowski will be out for up to six months after breaking a bone in his foot.

Foot injury
The 19-year-old winger, who was deployed in an unfamiliar role on the right side of defence in Wisla's 3-1 UEFA Champions League third qualifying round win at home against Panathinaikos FC on Tuesday, sustained the injury during the match and is set for a long spell on the sidelines.

Austrian trip
Blaszczykowski will fly to Austria on Sunday for tests as team doctors try to determine whether surgery will be needed. The youngster has become a firm favourite among supporters since joining Wisla from fourth division Raków Czestochowa during the last winter break.
