Manchester United FC midfielder Paul Scholes has signed a new contract keeping him at the English club until 2009.

Six titles
The 30-year-old has won six Premiership titles during his time at Old Trafford, having made his debut in 1994. In total, he has made 320 top-flight appearances, scoring 87 goals. Scholes played a key role in United's UEFA Champions League triumph in 1999, although was suspended for the final. He won 66 caps for England before retiring from international football a year ago.
