Bixente Lizarazu's stop-start season at FC Bayern München has stalled again after the French full-back tore a calf muscle in Tuesday night's 2-1 UEFA Champions League win against Juventus.

Early withdrawal
Lizarazu had to be substituted after 30 minutes of Bayern's victory, which maintained the German title-holders' 100 per cent record in Group A after three matches. It was his comeback appearance after suffering a similar injury in the 1-0 success against Club Brugge KV on 27 September.

No Turin trip
The 35-year-old, who has made six league appearances this season, now faces a three-week lay-off which rules him out of the return game against Juventus on 2 November.
