Hofland worry for PSV

PSV Eindhoven defender Kevin Hofland could be out for several weeks with an ankle injury.

PSV Eindhoven's miserable week continued today with the news that defender Kevin Hofland faces a spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Torn tendon
The 23-year-old Dutch international is to have tests on Monday after tearing a tendon in his right ankle. He suffered the injury during PSV's Champions League home defeat by Arsenal FC on Wednesday and was substituted at half-time.

Could miss out
If Hofland's injury proves serious, he would miss not only PSV's forthcoming Champions League dates but also the Netherlands' next EURO 2004™ qualifier away in Austria on 16 October.
