'Full of enthusiasm'
"I'm really pleased," López Caro said. "I'm full of enthusiasm and aware of the responsibility I now have. Real Madrid are a great club and I will have some great players at my disposal." The 42-year-old was handed the job on a temporary basis earlier this month following the dismissal of Vanderlei Luxemburgo.
Four years
López Caro has been at Madrid for four years and steered the B team, Castilla, to promotion to the second division last term. The Merengues, who host Real Racing Club Santander on Wednesday, are third in the Primera División, eight points behind leaders FC Barcelona. They will meet Arsenal FC in the UEFA Champions League first knockout round early next year.
