Metzelder doubt for Dortmund

Christoph Metzelder could miss BV Borussia Dortmund's next three games after sustaining a broken nose.

Misses PSV match
Metzelder, who had surgery after sustaining the injury in Saturday's 0-0 home draw with DSC Arminia Bielefeld in the 1. Bundesliga, will miss the UEFA Champions League Group A match at home to PSV Eindhoven tomorrow.

Lay-off
Dortmund coach Matthias Sammer said he expected Metzelder also to sit out Saturday's Bundesliga match at SV Werder Bremen and Dortmund's next Champions League game at home to Arsenal FC on 30 October.

State of play
Dortmund are second in Group A, three points behind leaders Arsenal, and will progress to the second stage if they win on Tuesday and Arsenal beat French side AJ Auxerre at the same time.
