The Shot website will be updated each Matchday with UEFA Champions League images captured by the leading sports photographers at Getty Images. Site visitors can vote for their favourite image at each knockout stage right up to the final at the Stade de France in Paris in May, after which the overall Shot of the Competition is decided.
By registering to vote and taking part in the competition, visitors can win a range of fantastic Canon prizes. There are six competition periods in total, each offering the chance to win a selection of the very latest Canon products - including cameras, high-spec binoculars and lab-quality photo printers. This year's Grand Prize is the 8.0 mega pixel Canon EOS 350D camera, complete with a PIXMA iP5000 high-quality home photo printer.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to run The Shot in partnership with UEFA for a third year," said Jacco Leurs, director of marketing for Canon Consumer Imaging, Canon. "Great football images convey all the action of the game from a single, freeze-framed moment, and we are proud that the majority of professional sports photographers choose Canon's EOS cameras to capture the most exciting moments from football's premier club football competition.

"The Shot will again allow fans from across Europe the chance to relive the drama of the UEFA Champions League, while also sharing the excitement that both football and photography can bring," he added.
