FC Dynamo Kyiv will be without Vladislav Vaschuk for six weeks, ruling him out of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie.
The Ukrainian runners-up will meet either Latvia's FHK Liepajas Metalurgs or Kazakhstan's FK Aktobe over two legs on 25/26 July and 1/2 August. Vaschuk, who represented Ukraine at the FIFA World Cup in Germany this summer, will be absent as he has had surgery to repair damaged knee cartilage after being injured at the club's pre-season training camp. The Ukrainian season starts on 21 July although Dynamo will take on champions FC Shakhtar Donetsk in Sunday's Super Cup match.
