AEK Athens FC have signed Greece midfielder Panagiotis Lagos from domestic rivals Iraklis FC.

Four caps
The 20-year-old has agreed a four-year contract with the capital club and has already joined his new colleagues at their pre-season training camp in Austria, under coach Lorenzo Serra Ferrer. Lagos scored seven goals in 28 league games for Iraklis last season, a campaign in which he also received his first cap for Greece. He has since made a total of four national-team appearances. AEK are set to enter the UEFA Champions League in August's third qualifying round after finishing runners-up to Olympiacos CFP in 2005/06.
