Rebrov adds injury to insult

FC Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Serhiy Rebrov faces a lay-off of several weeks after suffering a recurrence of a hip injury during the defeat by FC Steaua Bucuresti.

FC Dynamo Kyiv's Ukrainian international midfielder Serhiy Rebrov faces a lay-off of several weeks after suffering a recurrence of a hip injury during Wednesday's UEFA Champions League defeat by FC Steaua Bucuresti.

'Very serious'
The 32-year-old limped off after 73 minutes of Dynamo's 4-1 Group E reverse against Steaua, having earlier scored an equalising goal for the hosts in Kiev. Rebrov is expected to miss his side's next UEFA Champions League fixture away to Real Madrid CF on 26 September. He said: "According to the doctors, I will be able to jog in a week's time, but it will take me around three weeks before I can train fully again."
