Duo return
Both Hargreaves, who has not played since suffering the injury in mid-September, and Mehmet Scholl took part in their first full team training sessions on the last day of Bayern's Dubai winter training camp after recovering from injuries, with Scholl moving freely again following his leg muscle problems. Both players will be monitored by Bayern's medical staff over the coming days.
'Powerful stamina'
Bayern coach Felix Magath hinted that Hargreaves's "powerful stamina" could see him feature against BV Borussia Dortmund on 26 January, though the English international midfielder was more cautious on his comeback. "It's not that decisive that I make it to the first Bundesliga match," Hargreaves said. Bayern face Real Madrid CF over two legs in the UEFA Champions League first knockout round on 20 February and 7 March.
