Article summary
AC Milan could be faced with a headache in attack after Filippo Inzaghi was ruled out of their UEFA Champions League trip to Celtic FC with a thigh injury.
Article body
AC Milan will be without Filippo Inzaghi for their UEFA Champions League first knockout round first-leg meeting with Celtic FC on Tuesday after the striker failed to recover from the thigh injury he suffered in the Coppa Italia against AS Roma earlier this month.
Striker shortage
The 33-year-old Italian international, who has scored three times in the competition this season including qualifying, has not been included in Carlo Ancelotti's squad for the trip to Scotland leaving the Milan coach with a shortage of attacking options. New signing Ronaldo is not eligible to play and Alberto Gilardino is a doubt after suffering a slight knee injury ahead of Milan's 4-3 win at AC Siena, meaning Brazilian Ricardo Oliveira could be the only forward available.
