Roma postpone Aquilani return

The luckless Alberto Aquilani has been ruled out of both legs of AS Roma's last-16 tie against Olympique Lyonnais after picking up a thigh injury in training.

Alberto Aquilani has been ruled out of both legs of AS Roma's UEFA Champions League tie against Olympique Lyonnais after picking up a thigh injury.

Training injury
The Italian Under-21 international was due to return for action for the first time since damaging knee ligaments in November before he damaged his left thigh in training on Sunday, an injury that is expected to keep him on the sidelines for a month. The 22-year-old has played in ten Serie A games and five UEFA Champions League games this season. A product of Roma's youth system, the midfielder is likely to be an important member of the Italy squad at this summer's UEFA European Under-21 Championship finals in the Netherlands.
