Australian goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac has agreed to spend another season with AC Milan, committing himself to the Italian giants until the summer of 2009.
The 34-year-old has made seven appearances in Serie A and three more in the UEFA Champions League this season as cover for Brazilian goalkeeper Dida. He joined Milan from AC Perugia in 2005 after playing two seasons in Serie A and one in Serie B with the Umbrian side. Kalac had previously represented Sidney United FC, Leicester City FC in England and Roda JC in the Netherlands. Two weeks ago he kept a clean sheet in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League first knockout round tie at Celtic FC. The two sides will cross swords again at San Siro on Wednesday after a goalless draw in Glasgow.
