Second coming
The 30-year-old, capped 19 times by his country, returns to Dinamo on a two-year contract having won one league championship and two Romanian Cups with the Bucharest club between 2002 and 2004. He left Dinamo to join FC Shakhtar Donetsk, where he managed 48 league appearances before being loaned to FC Metalist Kharkiv towards the end of last season. With Dinamo due to enter the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, they have had a busy summer in the transfer market, recruiting defender Valentin Nastase, midfielder Ianis Zicu, and strikers Florin Bratu, Daniel Oprita and Hristu Chiacu.
