Thigh strain floors Kaladze

Kakha Kaladze will miss the remainder of AC Milan's second group stage campaign with a thigh injury.

Strained muscle
The 25-year-old has strained a muscle in his left thigh and is expected to be out of action for at least two weeks. He will miss the last two matches of the second group stage against Real Madrid CF and BV Borussia Dortmund.

Second-half substitution
The Georgian international was replaced by Martin Laursen after 15 minutes of the second half during the Serie A draw at the San Siro stadium. The 2001 and 2002 Georgian Footballer of the Year has played nine matches in the current Champions League campaign for the Rossoneri.

Defensive cover
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti could cover Kaladze's absence by moving team captain Paolo Maldini to left-back and fielding veteran defender Alessandro Costacurta or Danish international Laursen in the middle of the defence alongside Alessandro Nesta.

Quarter-final prospects
Milan have already qualified for the Champions League quarter-finals after winning all four of their second group stage games so far 1-0.
