Playmaker Shunsuke Nakamura faces a race against time to be fit for Celtic FC's UEFA Champions League fixture against AC Milan as he continues to be hampered by a knee injury.

Nagging doubt
The 29-year-old sustained the knock in the side's Group D opener with FC Shakhtar Donetsk last week and has been ruled out of tomorrow's Scottish League Cup tie away to Dundee FC. Nakamura is also doubtful for Saturday's fixture at home to Dundee United FC and admits he may have to sit out the Milan game a week on Wednesday. "I've not trained since the game against Shakhtar," said the Japanese international. "I honestly don't know if I'll be fit enough [to face Milan on Matchday 2]. I want to play because I love the Champions League, but I can't say for sure whether I will be ready or not. I hope so."
