Naylor sits out Celtic's group climax

Celtic FC left-back Lee Naylor will sit out the Group D decider against AC Milan on 4 December after suffering a calf injury in the win over FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

Celtic FC have suffered a blow with left-back Lee Naylor expected to be out for three weeks with a calf injury sustained against FC Shakhtar Donetsk, making him unavailable for the crucial UEFA Champions League match at AC Milan on 4 December.

Ever-present
The 27-year-old, ever-present for the Scottish title-holders in both the Premier League this season and in Group D, definitely misses the trip to Milan after manager Gordon Strachan confirmed the extent of his injury. Celtic require a point from their Matchday 6 contest at San Siro to secure their current second place and a first knockout round berth. Wednesday's 2-1 home win against Shakhtar moved Celtic three points above the Ukrainian side. Naylor has made 45 league appearances for the Glasgow club since joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers FC in the summer of 2006.
