Slipped disc to keep Henry sidelined

Striker Thierry Henry will miss FC Barcelona's final Group E fixture after being ruled out for a further fortnight with a slipped disc in his lower back.

Thierry Henry will miss FC Barcelona's final UEFA Champions League group game after being ruled out for a further fortnight with a slipped disc.

Lower back
Henry has been sidelined since 24 November with the recurrence of a back injury and tests have now identified the current problem, which involves a slipped disc between two vertebrae. The 30-year-old French international has suffered with back trouble before, which also affects his gluteal muscles and the area around his pelvis.

Goalscoring form
The forward will therefore be unavailable for Barcelona's Group E home match against VfB Stuttgart on 12 December. Henry has scored two goals in four UEFA Champions League appearances, and five in 12 for his new club in the Primera División this term. A likely comeback date is the game at Valencia CF on 16 December. Barcelona have won Group E with a Matchday to spare.
