Wisła Kraków set up a tie against FC Barcelona and FC Artmedia Petržalka earned an encounter with FC Barcelona after the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round lineup was finalised on Wednesday night.

Fenerbahçe through
In the last set of second qualifying round return legs, Wisła overturned a 2-1 first-leg deficit against Beitar Jerusalem FC with a 5-0 win to earn a rematch of their 2001/02 third qualifying round encounter with Barcelona, while Artmedia ended the hopes of Finland's Tampere United to keep alive their dream of a second group stage campaign in three years. Last season's quarter-finalists Fenerbahçe SK completed a 7-0 aggregate victory against MTK Budapest and will now meet 1966 European Champion Clubs' Cup finalists FK Partizan, who overcame FC İnter Bakı 3-1 on aggregate. NK Dinamo Zagreb, meanwhile, progressed past NK Domžale to set up a meeting with another side that has plenty of experience of the group stage, FC Shakhtar Donetsk.

Anorthosis reward
FC Dynamo Kyiv will renew Supreme Soviet League rivalries with FC Spartak Moskva after a 2-2 draw with Drogheda United FC gave them a 4-3 overall victory, while Anorthosis Famagusta FC will aim to become the first side from Cyprus to play in the group stage after knocking out SK Rapid Wien by the same aggregate scoreline, setting up a meeting with Greek champions Olympiacos CFP. Panathinaikos FC, victors against FC Dinamo Tbilisi, take on 2001/02 second group-stage opponents AC Sparta Praha, who eliminated FC Sheriff, while FC BATE Borisov's reward for upsetting RSC Anderlecht is a meeting with PFC Levski Sofia. For their part, FC Basel 1893 produced a fine comeback against IFK Göteborg and will play Vitória SC.

Brann meet Marseille
Tuesday night victors SK Brann are up against 1993 European champions Olympique de Marseille, while FBK Kaunas, having beaten Rangers FC, take on Aalborg BK, who completed a 7-1 success against FK Modriča on Wednesday. Several ties match teams given byes to the third qualifying round, with FC Schake 04 playing Club Atlético de Madrid, FC Twente facing Arsenal FC, R. Standard de Liège up against Liverpool FC, ACF Fiorentina matched with SK Slavia Praha and Galatasaray AS taking on FC Steaua Bucureşti. All ties will be played on 12/13 and 26/27 August, and the winners will join the 16 automatic group-stage entrants in the group stage draw in Monaco on 28 August.
