FC Steaua Bucuresti have signed striker Laurentiu Dinita from relegated CF Sportul Studentesc.

Lengthy dispute
The 28-year-old has finally completed a protracted move to Steaua and signed a three-year contract following a lengthy dispute with the owner of his old club, Vasile Siman. Dinita was the third highest scorer in Divizia A last season with 15 goals

League tribunal
A league tribunal had given Dinita permission to leave Sportul on the grounds of €15,000 of unpaid wages owed to him by the club, but when Siman presented a cheque which proved that the money had been sent to the player, the case was referred to the Romanian Football Federation (FRF).

Transfer fee
The case would have been heard by the FRF on 2 August, but Steaua's main shareholder decided to step in to resolve the problem, paying Siman a €180,000 fee for the player, who has now joined his new team at their training camp in the Netherlands.
