Lazio get more of Mendieta

Spain midfield player Gaizka Mendieta will stay at S.S. Lazio after signing an improved contract.
S.S. Lazio have confirmed that Spanish international midfield player Gaizka Mendieta is to stay at the club.

Improved contract
Mendieta, who was loaned to FC Barcelona last season, has signed an improved contract with Lazio, which includes a two-year extension until June 2008. The move brings to an end speculation about the 29-year-old former Valencia CF captain's future.

Corradi conclusion
Lazio have also extended Italian international striker Bernardo Corradi's contract until 2008. The 27-year-old Corradi, an €11m buy from Internazionale FC last September, said: "I am very happy to have signed this agreement, and will now work to build something at this club."
