Olympique Lyonnais have moved quickly to fill the void created by Karim Benzema's departure to Real Madrid CF by signing striker Lisandro from FC Porto for a club record €24m.

Five-year contract
The clubs agreed the fee earlier in the week but the transfer of the 26-year-old, who has inked a five-year deal, was only confirmed after the player passed his medical on Saturday. The Argentinian international, capped six times, will be presented to the media on 15 July after bringing his four-season stay at Porto to an end. Lyon's UEFA Champions League campaign will begin in the play-off round after the club finished third in Ligue 1 last term.

Four titles
Lisandro joined Porto from Racing Club de Avellaneda in 2005 and scored 49 goals in 106 league games for the Estádio do Dragão outfit as well as 13 in 28 UEFA Champions League matches, six of which came last season, claiming the Portuguese title every year he played for the Dragons. The Liga's top goalscorer and Footballer of the Year in 2008, Lisandro also won two Portuguese Cups and a Super Cup during his stint at Porto.
