AC Milan goalkeeper Nelson Dida has renewed his contract with the Rossoneri until 2007. His previous contract with the European champions was due to expire in 2004.

Key figure
The Brazilian international, who will turn 30 in October, was a key figure last season as Milan won the UEFA Champions League, saving three penalties in the 3-2 shoot-out victory against Juventus FC in the final in Manchester.

First-choice keeper
Signed by Milan in 2000 from Brazilian side SC Corinthians Paulista, Dida became Carlo Ancelotti's first-choice goalkeeper at the beginning of last season, taking the No1 jersey from Italian international Christian Abbiati. Dida played 30 matches in Serie A and 14 in the Champions League in 2002/03.
