Already qualified FC Porto maintained their lead at the head of UEFA Champions League Group A with a solid win against a determined GNK Dinamo Zagreb.

Ante Čačić's visitors stretched their losing run in the competition proper to 11 games despite having their share of chances. They had no answer to João Moutinho, who set up goals for Lucho González and Silvestre Varela either side of scoring himself. It means Porto finish the group stage with a perfect home record for only the second time, and a draw at Paris Saint-Germain FC on matchday six will clinch first place. Dinamo will aim to avoid equalling RSC Anderlecht's competition record of 12 successive defeats against FC Dynamo Kyiv.

Match in 5

  • Moutinho scores one and creates two as Porto qualify
  • Lucho opens scoring, Varela seals win with fine goal
  • Portuguese side maintain 100% home record in Group A
  • Dinamo without a point or goal and finish bottom of pool
  • Porto travel to PSG next to determine group winner

Reaction

It was a good game for us. We were consistent and had a good dynamic in the second half, with more aggression and better passing.

It's difficult to be realistic after losing 3-0, but I really think that this was the best Dinamo performance in this season's UEFA Champions League group stage.

A fantastic performance from Porto as they stay top of group A. They outclassed Dinamo in that second half and were real value for the 3-0 win. Some superb passing from the home side and none more so than for their third goal. They are proving to be a real threat in this competition.

A fantastic goal for Porto. James Rodríguez with a lovely pass to João Moutinho who plays it first time to Silvestre Varela and the attacker slots calmly past Ivan Kelava. Superb team move.
