NK Dinamo Zagreb held Slovenian title-holders NK Maribor in a tight UEFA Champions League second qualifying round first-leg tie.
Visitors Dinamo went ahead in the 33rd minute when Mihael Mikic crossed from the right in the perfect position for Niko Kranjcar to control and shoot in.
However, within four minutes Maribor had pegged back the Croatian champions as Miha Golob found Damir Pekic, who beat the challenge of two Dinamo defenders and shot into the far corner past visiting goalkeeper Mario Jozic.
Dynamo face winners
Neither side could eke out an advantage for next Wednesday's return in Zagreb, with the tie's eventual winners to meet group stage regulars FC Dynamo Kyiv.
